The Shipping Log records software releases: what shipped, what changed, what broke and what it costs. Entries are short, dated and link to the release notes.

We cover the tools marketing, sales and support teams run on, and the AI assistants now shipping weekly.

What we cover

  • Launches: New products and first releases, logged on the day they ship.
  • Updates: New features and changes to existing tools, one dated entry each.
  • AI: AI features as they ship in the tools teams already use, and the releases of the AI assistants themselves.
  • Pricing changes: New plans, price changes and changed limits, logged with the date they take effect.
  • Deprecations: Features and products being retired, with the shutdown date when the vendor gives one.

Who it’s for

People who run their work on software-as-a-service tools and want to know when one of them changes, before the change surprises them.

How we work

Each entry is dated to the release, says what changed in a line or two and links to the vendor’s release notes.

Every article is checked against a source we can name before it goes out, carries its date and the date of its last change, and is corrected in place when we get something wrong. Articles are written by the The Shipping Log desk and carry the desk’s name, not an invented byline. About two articles a day is the most we publish on one site. Read our editorial standards.

Write to hello@theshippinglog.com with a correction, a tip or a question. A person reads every message.
